Maple Marine Services - Condition Surveys

Maple Marine can undertake a variety of condition surveys.
The purpose of all condition surveys is to have an expert check for any major defects or issues that could cause problems or require repair.
Insurance companies may require you to undertake a survey of your vessel before they will insure or finance it. These surveys concentrate on assessing the condition of the boat and assessing its value. The underwriter is interested in knowing about any physical aspect of the boat that could cause it to suffer loss. You should contact your insurance company or finance company to determine the content and format they require for the survey. You may find that they do not require a full survey, but only want specific areas covered.
Full condition surveys are comprehensive inspections covering structural integrity, safety, visual inspection of machinery and equipment, and rigging (from deck level only), along with overall condition and any cosmetic blemishes.
Hull condition surveys cover the underwater parts of the hull only, and may be requested by insurance companies.
If you have a particular aspect of your boat that you are concerned about then we will be happy to discuss your requirements.
