Lay-up Inspection
Most yachts are wintered ashore. This is an ideal time to undertake the work needed to keep your yacht in tip-top condition. Maple Marine can help you identify the work required through a brief survey when the boat comes out of the water. Some owners will know exactly what needs to be done, but others will want some help in deciding. Our lay-up inspection is designed to help you do just that (also called a winterising inspection).
MCGA Coding Surveys
Our principal surveyor Martin Pittilo is a surveyor nominated by the IIMS to carry out Compliance Examinations on behalf of the MCA to enable vessels to be certificated under the Code. We can help you prepare for coding, and also undertake the certification. Click here for more information.
Condition Survey
Condition reports can be prepared for private owners or for Charter companies to demonstrate that the yachts are being kept up to a standard, and to provide an additional pair of eyes, less familiar with the boat, to identify problems that may have been missed.
Insurance Surveys
You may be asked by your insurance company to commission a survey to demonstrate the current condition of your boat or yacht. Maple Marine can undertake this on your behalf. The underwriters are interested in understanding the risk to them associated by insuring your yacht or boat. Maple Marine can undertake an Insurance survey for you. Usually they are looking for a full condition survey, but may only require specific areas of concern covered by the report. Let us know what you and they require and we will give you a quote.
